MAS 90 and MAS 200 Version 4.xx Update!

Several users are reporting the following issue in General Ledger year-end closing in MAS 90 and MAS 200 Versions 4.x...

If you have stray future fiscal years in your system (due to data entry errors, for example, 2030), when you post your first entries to the new fiscal year (such as 2006), the 2006 entry won't appear in your General Ledger Detail Report. The entry will be in the General Ledger Trial Balance, however.

To correct this, create the new fiscal year through General Ledger - Setup - Fiscal Year Maintenance. Then go into General Ledger - Utilities - Recalculate Account Balances. (this may take a while depending on the size of your General Ledger files). After you've performed these two steps your General Ledger will display correct totals.

Please be sure you have a backup of your data before using any utilities in MAS 90 or MAS 200. You may want to test this on a backup copy of your data (backup test companies can be created through Company Maintenance).
