
Assigning a Temporary Approver in Abra Workforce Connections
A Manager or Supervisor can assign another Manager or Supervisor to act on their approval requests in the event they will not be able to work or respond to potential submitted requests. Once applied, each approval request will then appear on the Message Center for both the Manager/Supervisor and the Temporary Approver that is assigned. When either the Temporary Approver or Manager/Supervisor acts on an approval request, it is removed from both Message Centers to avoid confusion.
To assign a Temporary Approver, log into AWC and perform the following steps:
- Click Temporary Approver.
- Select Employee Last Name or Employee ID.
- Enter the search criteria or just click Go to have a list of all Managers and Supervisors.
- Click on the name of the Manager/Supervisor you want to assign as the Temporary Approver.
- Click Save.
The next time you log into AWC, you will be notified that you have a Temporary Approver. There will be an option to remove the Temporary Approver, or you can just click Continue to bypass it. A Manager/Supervisor can only be assigned as the Temporary Approver for one Manager/Supervisor at a time.
