2005 Sage Software Business Minds Survey Results
The Sage Software Business Minds Survey is part of Sage’s on-going commitment to gain greater insight into the issues affecting businesses and to share those insights both through regular communications and by incorporating the ideas they generate into new products and services. An online survey was delivered to business owners throughout North America in May 2005. The surveys were completed by 558 respondents with representation in regions throughout the USA and Canada.
Hard-working, optimistic, filled with entrepreneurial passion, and ready to invest for improved business: those are just a few of the key characteristics of business owners revealed through the 2005 Sage Software Business Minds Survey. In general, North American small business owners are optimistic, with 64% having experienced increased revenue in the past year and 70% projecting increases for the year ahead. Profits were up for 56% of respondents, and 67% forecast increased profits for next year. And if they had the chance to set up a business again, the vast majority would take up the challenge – though 1 in 6 claim they would not set up shop again!
