Tax updates for FAS Asset Accounting are available for download now.
Each year, the fixed asset depreciation experts at Best Software monitor and analyze all of the changes taking place to the tax code and prepare an update of FAS for SupportPlus members. Our latest tax update, FAS version 2005.1 is available to download by SupportPlus members in January. Be sure to install this update right away, so FAS can help you accommodate all recent tax law changes as you head into your busy tax preparation season. The FAS 2005.1 Tax Update includes updated IRS tax forms and worksheets, including form 4562. You'll also find updated Luxury Auto and Section 179 limits. The FAS 2005.1 Tax Update is available for download at:
http://www.bestsoftware.com/FASupdate. However, the update available online can only be applied to version 2004.2, so if you haven't installed your 2004.2 update, there's no better time than now.
The full version of FAS 2005.1 will be distributed to all FAS SupportPlus members via CD during January 2005. The full version on CD can be applied to all FAS versions 2000.2 or later. Be sure to install FAS 2005.1 right away, so that you can save time before tax season arrives!
Recently, Congress passed both the American Jobs Creation Act of 2004 (a.k.a. FSC/ETI) and the Working Families Tax Relief Act of 2004. The new laws provide sweeping changes to the tax code and contain several important provisions related to fixed assets.
