Our new eNews feature– “Ask Charlie,” in which customers like you ask business-solution related questions of Charlie Kemmerer, MCG’s Vice-President of Front Office Solutions.
Question:
Dear Charlie: My company is thinking about implementing a CRM system, but I’m nervous – our employees are afraid of change! How can I insure user buy-in?
Answer:
Dear Nervous: I don’t blame you! Many a CRM project has failed due to lack of cooperation among users. My number one tip is to communicate – frequently and effectively. Do your employees understand WHY changes are being made and WHAT the goals of the new processes are? Do they know the impacts of success or failure, and the expectations of their individual performance? It’s also imperative that your organization define and standardize business processes, and support those processes with flexible user training that minimizes loss of productivity. Keep your focus on strategy, not technology, and you’ll increase ROI!
