Tips and Tricks
Saving Emails as SalesLogix Attachments
Most people know that you can drag an e-mail
from Outlook into SalesLogix and create a
history record. You probably also know that
you can drag a file from the desktop to SalesLogix
and create an attachment. But did you know
that you can drag an e-mail directly from
Outlook onto the SalesLogix attachments tab
and save that e-mail as an attachment? This
can be helpful if you or your customers want
to maintain the formatting of an HTML e-mail.
Color Code your SalesLogix Dates in Outlook
Do you want an at-a-glance view of all your
Outlook calendar entries that come from SalesLogix?
Outlook allows you to color code calendar entries
imported from SalesLogix. If, for example, you
want all your calendar events from SalesLogix
designated as important, you can select red
and quickly differentiate them from the rest
of your Outlook Calendar items.

The Mantra of Measurement: Measure Now and
Measure Often
CRM success measurement can be fairly complex
and time-consuming, two truths that tempt
managers to skip the step. It often begins
as a formal activity in which the company’s
customer-focused strategies are deconstructed
into a set of initiatives—what I call the
CRM Portfolio—each of which has its own list
of quantifiable success criteria. The basic
rule-of-thumb is the ability to finish the
sentence:
" We’ll know this CRM project is a success
when it…" [More]

Investment in CRM by small and medium-sized
businesses (SMB) is on the rise, but key questions
still sit in the minds of decision makers:
How do I achieve 360-degree views of my best
customers? How do I use that intelligence
to create new processes that empower sales
personnel and drive ROI?
In this event, SalesLogix and Peppers
& Rogers Group will illustrate: how to
build actionable, 360-degree customer profiles;
how sales managers can use this insight to
more precisely forecast revenue, generate
accurate propensity-to-buy analyses and collaborate
with marketing to craft targeted messaging
and drive more qualified leads; and how sales
reps can profile and meet prospect needs across
the selling cycle to capture higher ROI. [Register]
